United States
The United States of America was invited for the first time to participate in a CONMEBOL Copa América for the 1993 edition in Ecuador. In the following tournament, played in Uruguay in 1995, they would have one of their best participations, finishing first in their group, beating Chile and Argentina, and then advancing to the Semifinals.
It played again in the 2007 edition and received for the first time the tournament at home in 2016, in the CONMEBOL Copa América Centenario, a championship in which it again reached the Semifinals.
